Chai is an entire culture! It is an essential part of the culture and life of every Indian. Tea has always been popular in India, but has come a long way since the British introduced it as a milky drink from the early 19th century plantations in the foothills of the Himalayas. Bringing Indian friends together for a Chai is very much like the Swedish Fika. Putting our busy lives on pause and enjoying the company of good friends and a warm cosy drink, with charming spices.
Chai time is quite an experience and has a personality of its own. Indian Afternoon Tea or Indian High Tea is essentially Masala Chai, served with Indian tea snacks. At Masala we’ll welcome you with our fantastic party menu, so that means you’ll need at least 4 people to eat it. We serve between 14:00-17:00 at all our Masala restaurants. So feel free to book a table as soon as you’re ready.
